We are licensed as a Nurse Referral Service Agency by the state of Maryland Office of Health Care Quality and provide Nurse Referral services to clients seeking home care, hospital and assisted living private duty (PVD) services.
What is a Nurse Referral Service Agency?
Also known as NRSA, Nurse Referral Service Agencies is an agency that screens and refers licensed nurses, home health aides, homemakers, live-in care takers and companions for individuals needing help in their home. The person seeking assistance contracts directly with the individual who will provide service and pays the agency and/or the provider for services.

What can I expect if I'm interested in starting servives?
An initial assessment would need to be completed by a Registered Nurse (RN/ARNP) and Social Worker (LCSW-C) before we will offer Aide referral services (See Services page for explanation). During the visit, the RN/ARNP and Social Worker (LCSW-C) will answer any questions you may have, go over all of your options with you and your family, and develop a plan of care based on their assessment. What are the various payment options offered by Hearts of Ireland?
We accept private pay, and can assist with long term insurance reimbursement, but we do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or any other type of insurance coverage or plan.
If I am interested in starting services when should I contact the agency?
We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for our clients!
All applicants on our Nurse Registry are licensed and/or certified independent contractors, and are thoroughly screened including a criminal background check, drug screen, physical examination including Tuberculosis screening as well as license, reference and employment history verification. In addition, we require all applicants on our Nurse Registry to provide current CPR certification, professional liability insurance and a business service bond, and is required to be maintained annually.
